**About the Role**

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Technician III to join our team in the Correctional Facilities. As a Psychiatric Technician III, you will play a critical role in delivering mental health treatment to clients in a jail environment.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in providing mental health services to diverse populations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of crisis intervention principles and management of assaultive behavior.

What You'll Do:**

  • Conduct interviews with clients, family members, and friends to gather information about their environment, personality, and relationships that may impact their illness and treatment.
  • Make program services referrals for individuals identified as mentally ill.
  • Coordinate or conduct auditing of client records for compliance with documentation guidelines.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team conferences, provide and document continuing care and information, and collaborate with other mental health staff to develop effective treatment plans.
  • Provide consultation to community agencies on the utilization of mental health and support services provided by directly operated clinics, in-patient facilities, and contractors.
  • Administer prescribed medications to clients in acute psychiatric settings.
  • Coordinate activities of service teams with law enforcement, courts, schools, and other agencies to assist and evaluate clients deemed a danger to themselves or others.

Salary Range: $62,000 - $83,000 per year
