Job Summary

Marriott International is seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Owner to lead the licensing, design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of End User Technology tools. This role will work closely with IT teams, security professionals, and business stakeholders to ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of Collaboration Products within the Marriott enterprise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish technical product roadmaps, multi-year plans, and user stories for Collaboration Tools within Marriott.
  • Manage technical risks, remediation plans, and other security-related activities for Collaboration Tools.
  • Act as the main technical point of contact for the delivery of Collaboration Tools within Marriott.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of capabilities and emerging technologies to ensure that Marriott has the right platforms to support end-user experience monitoring and remote control.
  • Collaborate with key partners and vendors to create alignment on roadmaps, use cases, capabilities, and product offerings.
  • Leverage Agile SAFE and Design Thinking to empathize and define requirements, asks, and requests; and evaluate/incorporate them against/into an app strategy and roadmap.
  • Ideate and prototype with engineering partners and vendors to deliver on the app strategy and roadmap.
  • Advocate for the end-user by developing a deep empathy of their needs through research, feedback, and other methods.
  • Meet regularly with security, stakeholders, and other team(s) to gather work statuses, discuss obstacles, provide guidance to ensure that deliverables are met timely and within budget.
  • Maintain a well-groomed product backlog of features to include refined user stories with solid technical solutions.
  • Help define new product features and optimizations of existing ones, and incorporate them into product roadmaps.
  • Provide clear vision and scope documentation, use cases, workflows, and wire-frames to support development.
  • Coordinate with support teams for defect resolution.
  • Managing Projects and Priorities.
  • Coordinates and implements work and projects as assigned.
  • Complies with Federal and State laws applying to procedures.
  • Generates and provides accurate and timely results in the form of reports, presentations, etc.
  • Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
  • Manages the flow of questions and directs questions.
  • Works with team to put sustainable work processes and systems in place that support the execution of the strategy.
  • Establishes and maintains complete and up-to-date information to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Represents team in resolving situations.
  • Delivering on the Needs of Key Stakeholders.
  • Understands and meets the needs of key stakeholders.
  • Communicates concepts in a clear and persuasive manner that is easy to understand.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of business priorities.
  • Supports achievement of performance goals, budget goals, team goals, etc.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Software Development, or equivalent experience and certifications.
  • 7+ years of progressive Information Technology experience that includes:
    • 3+ years of technical product ownership and/or strategy experience that includes technical product road-mapping.
    • 3+ years' experience in product/software development, including design, development, implementation, and maintenance.
    • 1+ years developing written communications and presentations for diverse stakeholders including executives, business stakeholders, and IT teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and collaborate effectively in a matrix-managed environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for a wide range of audiences including executives, business stakeholders, and other IT teams.
  • Strong attention to detail with an ability to define technical product roadmaps and operate effectively across multiple priorities.
  • Project management experience with demonstrated understanding of project management techniques and tools.
  • Prior SAFe Agile delivery experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of product management experience with a geographically diverse cross-functional team supporting one of the following: Collaboration technologies such as Microsoft 365 including Teams, One Drive, SharePoint, as well as other collaboration solutions such as Box.
  • 5+ years of experience designing and executing patch management standards for collaboration tools, Office Productivity, and Virtual Desktops.
  • Product management experience leading or managing platforms within a large, global organization.
  • Ability to understand and navigate complex user and technical discussions, architectures, and dependent solutions.
  • Experience leading integrations with one or more of the following tools: Service Now, Saviynt, Azure Virtual Desktops, M365.
  • Project/program management experience with demonstrated understanding of project management techniques and tools.
  • Demonstrated experience with Design Thinking.
  • Working knowledge of O365 Security, Collaboration tools, Office Productivity, Virtual Desktops, Management Tools, and Processes like: Active Directory, Azure, Azure Virtual Desktops, VMware Horizon, Aternity FPI, Service Now.

Marriott International offers a competitive salary range of $96,038 to $179,270 annually, as well as an annual bonus. Additionally, employees will accrue PTO balance for every hour worked and be eligible to receive a minimum of 7 holidays annually.
