Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and Train Department Employees: Supervise and mentor team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Manage Process Efficiency & Resources: Analyze and optimize production processes to minimize waste, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency.
  • Manage Information Document Flow: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of production processes, quality control, and safety procedures.
  • Control Expenses: Monitor and manage departmental expenses to ensure they are within budget and aligned with company goals.
  • Quality & Safety: Implement and maintain a culture of quality and safety within the department, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Maintain and Control Inventory: Manage the inventory of consumable materials and supplies to ensure they are adequate for production needs.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A minimum of two years' experience in shop floor production and one year or more experience as a foreman or supervisor.
  • Skills and Abilities: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, drawings/blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Basic computer skills and ability to read a tape measure to 1/16" are also required.
