Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and Train Department Employees: Supervise and train a team of machine operators and material handlers to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Optimize Process Efficiency and Resources: Analyze and improve production processes to minimize costs and maximize productivity.
  • Manage Information and Document Flow: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of production processes, quality control, and safety procedures.
  • Control Expenses: Monitor and manage departmental expenses to ensure they are within budget.
  • Quality and Safety: Implement and maintain a culture of quality and safety within the department, ensuring that all products meet the highest standards.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain and control inventory levels of consumable materials to ensure that production can continue uninterrupted.
Requirements:
  • Education and Experience: A minimum of two years' experience in shop floor production and one year or more experience as a foreman or supervisor.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16" and basic computer skills are required.
