Job Title: Sourcing Specialist

Flying Food Group, LLC is seeking a highly motivated Sourcing Specialist to join our team in Seattle. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing goods, materials, and services at competitive prices and advising upper-level staff members on which suppliers to contract with.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing suppliers and maintaining long-lasting relationships with them as well as existing suppliers.
  • Implementing inventory optimization strategies within the company.
  • Obtaining quotes from different suppliers.
  • Collecting and analyzing commodity buying trends to make insightful business decisions.
  • Negotiating price, quantity, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
  • Working with legal counsel to ensure that all contracts relating to product procurement contain all details of the negotiation.
  • Assessing quotes and compiling a detailed assessment of cost breakdowns.
  • Generating quote comparisons and contributing to internal supplier selection based on the quotes.
  • Providing solutions to improve company spending and outsourcing.
  • Managing the company's supply portfolio ensuring transparency of spending.
  • Generating and implementing efficient sourcing and category management strategies.
  • Analyzing and calculating costs of procurement and suggesting methods to decrease expenditure.
  • Inventing negotiation strategies and securing profitable deals.
  • Optimizing sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiency.
  • Cooperating with stakeholders to guarantee agreement on terms and processes.
  • Researching and anticipating shifts in the negotiating power of suppliers.
  • Performing cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
  • Estimating risks and applying risk-minimizing techniques.
  • Discovering and partnering with trustworthy vendors and suppliers.
  • Determining quantity and timing of deliveries.

Requirements:

  • BS degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration
  • Proven work experience as a Sourcing Specialist or Procurement Specialist
  • Understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgment
  • Strong project management and leadership skills
  • Ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships.
  • Comfortable with figures and collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data.
  • Solid judgment with an ability to make good decisions.
  • Contracting and procurement negotiation.
  • Risk management.
  • Strategic sourcing software experience.
  • Business ethics and transparency.
  • Forecasting and planning.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)

Work Environment:

This job operates in an office environment in Seattle while working closely with Corporate in Chicago. This position will routinely use standard office equipment.
