Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to join our Nutrition Services team as a Nutrition Services Back-Up Manager. This role will provide critical support to our management team and assume responsibilities of the manager on a regular basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate as a key member of the management team to ensure seamless operations.
  • Collaborate with the manager to complete scheduled training assignments and take an active role in learning all essential functions of a manager.
  • Assume the responsibilities of the manager at least once a week, demonstrating leadership skills and ability to work independently.
  • Attend all meetings and inservices scheduled by the Food Service Department and complete daily scheduled responsibilities.
  • Comply with employee standards of conduct, including dress code, personal appearance, and behavior, as specified in the Food Service Handbook.
  • Attend the Food Handling/Sanitation Certification Class required by department guidelines and comply with food handling procedures established by the Food Service Department.
  • Transfer to any food service unit and position as assigned by the Food Service Director or designee.
  • Support the Food Service Department with regular and reliable attendance and perform other duties as assigned by the Food Production Manager and/or the Food Service Director.
Requirements
  • TASN Certificate or actively working towards certification.
  • Effective organization, math, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently with limited direct supervision.
  • Physical capability to perform assigned duties, including lifting up to 60 lbs., working with machinery, and continuous walking and standing.
