Compliance Engineering Technician - Electronics Lab

NAPCO Security Technologies, Inc. is seeking a skilled Electronics Lab Compliance Technician to join our team in Amityville, NY.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to assist in the testing and evaluation of electronic security systems in accordance with UL standards.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough testing and evaluation of new and alternate construction products in the Fire/Burglary/Access Control Industry.
  • Assemble and wire circuit boards, and hand solder SMT components.
  • Read and interpret schematics/CAD drawings to identify components.
  • Assist in the assembly of electronic prototypes.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or trade school education with 5+ years of electronic experience.
  • Proficiency in using equipment such as scopes, voltmeters (DMM), Hi-Pot, and Power Analyzers.
  • Experience with computer-based diagnostic equipment.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools.
  • Proficiency in using a PC for word processing, documenting test results, and email.
  • Experience with Alarm Systems, CCTV, or Access Control is a plus.
