Role Overview
As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in facilitating efficient and comprehensive tele-optometry examinations using advanced optical and telemedicine technology. You will assist patients in selecting the ideal frames and lenses that cater to their visual requirements. A passion for delivering exceptional patient care experiences is essential.
Qualifications

- Experience in delivering excellent customer service in retail, restaurant, or medical settings (optical experience is not required; training will be provided)
Responsibilities
- Warmly greet patients and identify their vision needs through open-ended inquiries, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience
- Promote eye exam availability to members and their families
- Provide patients with information regarding specific promotions
- Build strong partnerships with optical team members and optometrists
- Assist in scheduling eye exam appointments and entering patient information in compliance with HIPAA training
- Gather patient medical history and conduct eye health assessments, including retinal imaging, auto-refraction, keratometry, tonometry, lensometry, and other ancillary tests
- Facilitate communication between patients, remote technicians, and doctors via live video conferencing, conveying doctor recommendations to opticians
- Strive to meet or exceed patient expectations
- Collaborate with optical team members to facilitate exam bookings and eyewear sales
- Match eyewear solutions to patient needs and guide them from examination to product selection
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the optical area in accordance with club policies
Compensation
In alignment with Pay Transparency requirements, the compensation range for this position starts at $18.50. At BJ's Wholesale Club, we consider a variety of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary, including location, education, experience, and qualifications.
