Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Assistant to join our team at UMass Memorial Health. As a Patient Care Assistant, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our residents in the Extended Care Unit. This is a unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding patients
* Assist with repositioning, walking, exercising, and moving patients into and out of bed
* Take and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure
* Observe, record, and report patients' conditions, food and liquid intake, and output

Requirements:

* High school diploma or equivalent
* Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) certification
* Minimum one year of subacute or long-term care experience
* Knowledge of medical terminology, infection control guidelines, and sterile technique
