Seeking a Dedicated Substance Abuse Counselor Supervisor

Position Overview: The Counselor Supervisor will oversee the team of Counselors and Counselor Interns who deliver treatment and case management services to clients, ensuring adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and BayMark's policies. The supervisor will guarantee prompt documentation of client services in alignment with the care plan. It is essential to recognize the diverse physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs of assigned clients. The supervisor will also manage associated expenses responsibly within the framework of the company’s budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and oversee all intake operations.
  • Assess intake evaluations for quality assurance.
  • Provide direct oversight to clinicians and support ongoing staff supervision through meetings, training sessions, guest speakers, and literature reviews.
  • Manage all counseling personnel, facilitating performance improvement discussions, documentation, and follow-up.
  • Offer guidance and support to counselors pursuing licensure and/or certification.
  • Deliver clinical supervision.
  • Conduct employment interviews alongside the Clinical Manager and Practice Manager.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • A Master’s degree (MLADC) or a LADC with an LCS.
  • Previous supervisory experience is required; candidates should be self-motivated and proactive.
  • The Counseling Supervisor should maintain a positive attitude towards clients with substance dependencies and possess prior experience working with this demographic.
  • Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
