RN Supervisor Job Description

Riverside Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Supervisor. In this role, you will play a vital part in restoring and promoting patients' health by completing the nursing process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Provide physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families, promoting a compassionate environment.
  • Identify patient care requirements by establishing personal rapport with patients and their families.
  • Ensure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and hospital or regulatory standards.
  • Resolve patient problems and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
  • Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
  • Maintain continuity among nursing teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, calling for repairs, and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Maintain nursing supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and participating in professional societies.
  • Maintain a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information and participating in team problem-solving methods.

Shift differentials are available for weekends and for 3p-11p and 11p-7a shifts. Minimum qualifications include a Registered Nurse (RN) license.
