Position Overview:

Are you prepared to elevate your accounting career? We are in search of a highly driven and enthusiastic individual to join our organization as a Finance Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaboration with Leadership: Partner closely with our Director of Finance Americas to establish and uphold strong accounting controls, processes, and procedures.
  • Strategic Financial Planning: Contribute significantly to both long-term and short-term financial process and control planning, helping to lay the groundwork that will support the future of our organization.
  • Comprehensive Accounting Oversight: Manage all facets of general accounting, cash application, and accounts payable, ensuring precision and efficiency.
Specific Duties:
  • Supervise daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, fixed assets, and cash application, while providing leadership and guidance to the accounting staff.
  • Oversee payroll and headcount reconciliations against budget.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual balance sheet and profit & loss forecasts.
  • Onboard, manage, and mentor staff with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Execute, review, and approve monthly general ledger journal entries.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Maintain cash flow by monitoring bank balances and cash requirements; authorize cash disbursements and manage check and wire transfers.
  • Maintain asset registers and ensure timely calculation and payment of use taxes.
  • Establish accounting controls by monitoring, preparing, and recommending policies/procedures in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Enhance accounting procedures by analyzing current practices and recommending improvements.
  • Lead annual internal and external audits by providing necessary information and managing all internal deliverables.
  • Enhance job knowledge through participation in educational opportunities, professional publications, and ongoing training.
  • Analyze accounting data and generate financial reports or statements.
  • Manage monthly closing processes, leading the accounting team in all P&L related analysis and requirements.
  • ERP Support: Act as a resource for our ERP system needs that impact financial transactions and assist in maintaining posting controls.
  • System Reconciliation: Reconcile ERP data to ensure accurate reporting.
Qualifications:
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into meaningful financial insights.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with ERP/CRM tools.
  • Experience in manufacturing environments is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a disciplined approach to implementation and documentation.
  • Ability to simplify complex financial data.
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP accounting.
  • Capability to make independent decisions and resolve complex accounting issues.
  • Experience in leading, managing, and training teams.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
Education and Experience:
  • 6+ years of accounting and finance experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
  • Master's degree and/or CPA/CMA preferred.
  • Experience in financial planning and reporting.
  • Experience in data analysis and visualization.
