POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Supervisor of Addiction Therapy, your leadership, guidance, and mentorship of Addiction Therapists are essential for fostering professional growth and enhancing clinical programs, ultimately leading to better patient outcomes. You play a vital role in program innovation and quality control within the unit.

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full Time

WORK SCHEDULE: Day

KEY ATTRIBUTES

  • Preferred prior experience in a supervisory role
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities
  • Proven empathy and compassion
  • At least three years of clinical experience in chemical dependency or behavioral health, including internships
  • Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Creative Arts Therapy, Education, Marriage & Family Therapy, Organizational Leadership, Psychology, Social Work, or a related Human Services field is required.
  • Advanced qualifications such as CASAC, Master CASAC, LMHC, LCSW, or LMFT are mandatory.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Program and Staff Development: Facilitate individual and group supervisory sessions aimed at enhancing clinical services and program quality; oversee staff productivity and adherence to medical record and regulatory standards.
  • Leadership: Conduct performance assessments based on both quantitative and qualitative metrics; assess staff clinical competencies in line with evidence-based practice guidelines; provide supervision to improve clinical results, including client access, engagement, and retention in treatment.
  • Caseload Management: Maintain an active client caseload and ensure timely completion of medical record documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Master's degree (Required)

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

Qualified Health Professional (QHP) - NYS Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Sedentary Work - Involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally. Sedentary roles typically require sitting most of the time, with occasional walking or standing.
