Current project work encompasses civil site development for both new and redevelopment initiatives, grading design, stormwater management (including hydraulic and hydrologic design, certification, and permitting), as well as civil utility design.

Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the management team to identify and pursue innovative projects and clients.
- Develop strategic marketing and business development initiatives for the Civil Engineering division.
- Assess resources and skills required to effectively support the objectives of the Civil Engineering team.
- Proactively oversee multiple civil engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality and precise outputs.
This includes managing contracts, scheduling, budgeting, prioritizing projects, allocating staff and resources effectively, and leading meetings with both internal management and external partners.
- Engage actively in the project planning and design phases, which includes data collection, field investigations, and the development of design/feasibility studies, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and design reports.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the engineering sector.
- At least 5 years of experience in project management and client relations.
- A minimum of 5 years of civil design experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the relevant state or willingness to obtain.
Strong problem-solving abilities, adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment. Candidates should demonstrate professional judgment under pressure, identify potential project and design challenges early, and respond promptly to resolve them. Adaptability to changing client requests, project timelines, staff availability, and management expectations is essential.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Additional certifications relevant to your areas of expertise and interest are preferred but not mandatory.
Proficiency in civil engineering design software, including Civil 3D, MicroStation, GIS, Excel, and stormwater modeling tools such as SLAMM, HEC-RAS, HydroCAD, C3D, etc., is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with basic construction management principles and surveying principles is also preferred but not required.
Experience in preparing and delivering presentations for clients and partners, as well as for larger audiences at conferences and training sessions, is a plus.
