Job Title: Children's Crisis Supervisor

The Guidance Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Children's Crisis Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our crisis services team, you will be responsible for providing administrative and clinical supervision to staff members, ensuring the smooth operation of our Children's Crisis Screening program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical supervision to staff members, utilizing evidence-based treatment methodologies.
  • Manage staff and departmental operations, including interviewing, selecting, and training staff, setting work schedules, and evaluating staff performance.
  • Review and organize treatment records and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise case consultations with staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Maintain schedules and ensure timely service delivery, including daytime and after-hours coverage.
  • Assess community needs, assign priorities, and direct service delivery as needed.
  • Collaborate with inter-departmental groups to ensure smooth program administration.
  • Assist with the coordination of the Appeals process for consumers and guardians.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with staff, leadership, and partner agencies.
  • Complete documentation, referrals, and other required paperwork in a timely manner.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, or counseling with LMSW, LLP, or LPC licensure from the State of Michigan.
  • At least three years of experience working with children and families in a mental health setting, with one year of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and public presentation skills.
  • Ability to handle crisis situations calmly and professionally, with a nonjudgmental approach and cultural competency.
  • Valid driver's license and favorable driving record.
