Position Summary: The Compliance/Risk/Supportive Service Manager is responsible for establishing and upholding a high standard of ethical practices within the organization, aiming to minimize potential risks and exposures. This role involves conducting business in alignment with the organization's mission and values.

Key Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential. The ability to foster supportive relationships with supervisors, leaders, stakeholders, and clients is crucial. Basic computer proficiency is required. Knowledge of the organization’s needs and future strategies is necessary, along with the capability to negotiate contracts as needed. A non-judgmental and unbiased approach towards clients is expected. Familiarity with OSHA guidelines for safety and compliance programs is also required.

Physical and Environmental Requirements: The role requires visual acuity and manual dexterity for paperwork completion. Frequent communication with leaders, families, and service providers is necessary. The physical demands are light, involving walking, standing, and occasional bending. There may be exposure to communicable diseases through contact with individuals from various environments. Candidates must have a clean driving record with no more than two infractions in the past three years.

Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver exceptional customer service to personnel, clients, families, and stakeholders.
  2. Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of personnel and clients.
  3. Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk management strategy.
  4. Create and manage a risk/hazard observation log.
  5. Establish and oversee a health and safety program.
  6. Conduct safety training sessions for new hires.
  7. Lead health and safety meetings.
  8. Facilitate annual safety refresher training for staff.
  9. Perform motor vehicle reports for new hires operating company vehicles.
  10. Conduct driving assessments for new drivers.
  11. Carry out risk assessments and hazard analyses.
  12. Lead investigations into incidents and conduct root cause analyses.
  13. Provide recommendations for risk mitigation.
  14. Maintain and submit all OSHA logs and reports to regulatory agencies.
  15. Monitor and promote the reduction of TRIR, DART, and LTCR.
  16. Prepare and follow up on Risk Management and Safety plans in compliance with CARF standards.
  17. Develop checklists for safety drills and inspections.
  18. Assist in the agency's quality assurance processes.
  19. Ensure that annual financial audits are performed and findings are addressed with leadership.
  20. Conduct audits of medical records and other departmental files.
  21. Participate in strategic planning meetings.
  22. Ensure adherence to CARF reporting standards.
  23. Perform other duties as assigned.
