Role Summary

We are in search of a driven and enthusiastic professional to fill the role of Financial Planning Specialist. This position is integral to our Wealth Planning Department, where the specialist will develop comprehensive financial strategies and collaborate with client-facing advisors to provide expert guidance on various aspects of wealth management, including retirement, education, insurance, estate planning, business succession, and overall financial services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with advisors to collect necessary data for initial financial plans or reviews.
  • Utilize comprehensive financial planning software to input client information and generate analytical reports that support the planning process.
  • Identify and recommend effective planning strategies to enhance the client experience.
  • Act as a reliable resource for client-facing advisors, addressing technical planning inquiries.
  • Develop specialized expertise in a designated technical area, contributing to the firm’s philosophy and improving client deliverables.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Financial Planning or Finance.
  • CFP certification or an advanced credential in a related field (e.g., JD, CPA).
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial planning.
  • Strong technical knowledge across all areas of comprehensive financial planning, including cash management, tax planning, insurance, education funding, retirement strategies, estate planning, and risk management.
  • Proficiency in financial planning software and Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of experience is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with eMoney software is a plus.
  • In-depth understanding of business succession, estate planning, philanthropy, insurance, education funding, and financial planning, including relevant legal, tax, and regulatory considerations.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • Adaptable and capable of working collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Client-focused approach to service delivery.
