Join Our Team as a Registered Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced registered architect to join our team at Weston Solutions, Inc. As a key member of our design and construction team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality architectural services to our federal, municipal, and commercial clients.

About the Role

This is a part-time or temporary position, with the preferred location being our West Chester, PA office. However, we are open to considering candidates living near our other offices or in remote locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide field QA/QC and oversight services for construction projects.
  • Perform design development and provide technical direction to the scope of projects.
  • Review and perform various architecture-related calculations and analyses.
  • Collaborate with engineers, CAD technicians, field technicians, designers, and other team personnel to complete projects efficiently and accurately.
  • Assist the Project Manager in estimating and tracking project costs.
  • Lead proposal preparation efforts and development of project costs.
  • Participate in professional societies and other similar organizations to stay abreast of current and emerging techniques.
  • Interact with clients regarding project-specific tasks.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture or design or equivalent experience, plus minimum 6 to 12 years related experience.
  • Architect license in PA, NJ, MD, DE, or similar state with ability to obtain additional licenses quickly and efficiently as needed to support project work.
  • Experience preparing commercial designs for competitive procurement, including preparing construction documents, material take-offs, and procuring contractors.
  • Experience with architectural and building systems designs, including office space, utility plants, electrical rooms, communications, and server rooms.
  • Experience working with National, state, and local codes and standards, including Federal USGS and UFC.
  • Experience with EV charging stations, EVSE facilities, microgrids, solar systems, battery backup, and alternative energy production and storage facilities.
  • The ability to use 3D models and prepare BIM.
  • US citizens with the ability to obtain security clearance during employment or a current security clearance.
  • Maintains a valid driver's license and is able to travel.
  • Willing to travel (~20% - 40% time) as required to meet proposal and project needs.
  • Able to meet time-sensitive deadlines and complete multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software.
  • Able to complete requests for proposals, develop scopes of work, and obtain vendor quotes.
  • Effective oral and communication skills to review report writing, proposal preparation, and architect and construction cost estimates.
  • Work effectively in a team environment to lead or support other engineering disciplines and CADD operators to achieve proposal and project requirements.

Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors. Salary Range: $66,400 - $88,600 - $110,700
