Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Learning and Development Coordinator to join our team at Blythe Construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for co-developing and administering Construction-related Training and Development content, working closely with the Training & Development team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Co-develop and maintain e-learning content to support various training objectives, using various software.
  • Update the Learning Management System with various course content, using SCORM files.
  • Assign various courses to identified individuals and update grades, classes, and schedules in the Learning Management System.
  • Maintain various documentation for NCCER compliance.
  • Schedule classes, send notifications to participants, track simulator/equipment usage, and maintain the event calendar for Blythe Construction Training Academy.
  • Track heavy equipment usage and coordinate maintenance/repairs with the equipment division.
  • Coordinate trainee enrollment with stakeholders, including verbal and written communications.
  • Track and communicate trainee progress, including training hours and completion.
  • Track and manage inventory of training supplies and materials.
  • Order and ensure set-up of meals/beverages/snacks for various training events.
  • Make reservations and communicate hotel accommodations for out-of-town trainees.
  • Assist with job placement efforts for trainees after training completion.
Requirements
  • E-learning design software, such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Articulate 360, etc.
  • Microsoft Office suite
  • Passionate about instructional design with interest in creating impactful e-learning content.
  • Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in Learning Management System administration
  • Eager to learn more about instructional design tools and techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with trainees, mentors, and supervisors.
  • Strong initiative, able to work independently, as well as part of a team.
Education and/or Career Experience
  • Degree in Instructional Design, Education, and/or related career experience.
  • Strong organizational skills, with experience in scheduling and logistics.
  • Familiarity with civil construction industry practices is a plus.
Work Environment

Work is generally performed in an office environment, although periodic visits to construction sites and asphalt manufacturing facilities are required. Construction and asphalt facility visits may expose the position to general construction noise and environmental exposures within the OSHA permissible exposure level(s).
