Job Summary

This position will provide critical support for research, project management, and extension activities in tree crops and wine grapes associated with two federally-funded multi-institutional USDA-SCRI grant projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform professional-level work in support of research and project management activities.
  • Provide organizational support for the successful completion of grant projects.
  • Assist in applied research and extension projects associated with each grant.
  • Perform laboratory analyses, web site development, budget administration, and technical editing.
  • Manage procurement activities, assist with developing lab policies and procedures, and coordinate grant-related project meetings and extension workshops.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and three years of experience directly related to the specialty area.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Technical editing experience and advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and WordPress.
  • Experience in professional development and delivery of web-based content.
  • Ability to locate and purchase supplies, schedule and execute activities independently, and learn new procedures and protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with small video production and video editing software.
  • Experience in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Experience in video conferencing platforms (ZOOM, TEAMS, etc).
