Postdoctoral Research Fellow Position

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced postdoctoral research fellow to join our team in the Department of Integrative Physiology and Neuroscience at Washington State University. The successful candidate will have a strong background in cellular and molecular neuroscience, with expertise in electrophysiological techniques and a demonstrated interest in understanding the mechanisms of neurotrophic factors, such as leptin.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research in the Travis Brown laboratory, focusing on the role of neurotrophic factors in synaptic function and development.
- Develop and implement electrophysiological techniques to study neuronal function and behavior.
- Collaborate with international neuroscience faculty to advance research goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- Recent Ph.D. in neuroscience or a related field.
- Strong background in cellular and molecular neuroscience, with expertise in electrophysiological techniques.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in patch clamp electrophysiology, molecular techniques, and pharmacology.
- Interest in cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying control of synaptic function and development.
