Job Title: Janitorial Supervisor

CBS Building Maintenance, Inc. is seeking a reliable and experienced Janitorial Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities in Indiana and Southern Illinois.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the cleaning and maintenance activities of our janitorial staff.
  • Ensure that all facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
  • Oversee the inventory and ordering of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Develop and implement cleaning schedules and protocols to ensure efficient and effective cleaning operations.
  • Train and monitor janitorial staff to ensure they are following company protocols and procedures.
  • Perform regular inspections of facilities to identify areas for improvement.
  • Communicate with clients and stakeholders to ensure their needs are met.
  • Document and manage contract performance based on key performance indicators.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a supervisor or manager in a cleaning or maintenance role.
  • Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
  • Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets.
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Preference of minimum of two years' experience as a commercial cleaner.
  • Preference of minimum of one year in a supervisory, leading, or managing role.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to perform the essential job functions consistent safely and successfully in accordance with local standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Must possess a vehicle for travel (mileage will be reimbursed if used professionally).
