Job Title: Janitor

Company Overview:

Royal Oak Enterprises, LLC is a leading manufacturer and marketer of branded and private label charcoal, fire log, and fire-building products. The company also manufactures railroad cross ties, strengthening its relationship with suppliers in the charcoal business. With the recent acquisition of Pine Mountain and Diamond brands, Royal Oak is undergoing significant changes, requiring enhanced leadership.

Job Summary:

The Janitor will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment in various areas, including the main office, lunch room, lab areas, restrooms, and supervisor/manager's office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Wipe down windows, doors, and door jams on a weekly or as-needed basis
  • Wipe down workstations, including desks, phones, computers, file cabinets, and chairs daily
  • Clean restroom stalls, dividers, mirrors, and chrome materials (faucets, etc.)
  • Fill toilet paper and hand towel dispensers as needed, leaving extra rolls in each stall
  • Mop open floor areas in the bathroom and lunch room/break room
  • Clean common areas as needed
  • Empty trash bins daily and clean coffee pots daily
  • Perform other related housekeeping tasks as needed
Requirements and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Prior housekeeping/janitorial experience is a plus.

Education: High School Diploma/GED required

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods (12 hours minimum)
  • Ability to lift approximately 35 lbs. maximum
  • Twisting, turning, or bending with or without product in hand
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to work in extreme environmental temperatures
  • Casual manufacturing environment; comfortable attire appropriate for manual labor
