Ryder System, Inc. - Senior Level Diesel Technician Mechanic

About the Position:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Level Diesel Technician Mechanic to join our team at Ryder System, Inc. in Vermont. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing complex mechanical and electronic repairs on our fleet of heavy-duty vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues, including engine and transmission problems
  • Interact with customers to determine the nature of complaints and provide solutions
  • Coach and mentor junior technicians to improve their skills and knowledge
  • Meet productivity and quality standards, ensuring timely completion of repairs and high-quality workmanship

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Advanced mechanical repair skills, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in heavy-duty vehicle maintenance
  • Valid CDL Class A (preferred)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
  • ASE Certification (preferred)

Working Conditions:

Important Note: This position requires driving Ryder vehicles, and candidates must meet certain criteria, including obtaining a CDL within 6 months of hire and passing a drug test, physical, and background checks.
