Job Summary

The Maintenance Supervisor is a key member of the SHP Management Corp team, responsible for overseeing the overall facilities maintenance, operations, and security of multiple properties. This role requires a high level of expertise in various areas, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, roofing, and grounds maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Maintenance: Supervise and perform maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and roofing repairs, as well as grounds maintenance and snow removal.
  • Supervision and Training: Supervise and train maintenance assistants, as well as participate in hiring and evaluation processes.
  • Work Order Management: Maintain a work order system, including ledgers and reports, to ensure timely and accurate maintenance.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program to minimize equipment downtime and extend the lifespan of facilities assets.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the inventory of supplies and equipment, including purchasing and procurement processes.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergency situations, including performing or contracting work as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 5 years of experience in property operations and security, with a focus on facilities maintenance and management.
  • Skills: Proficiency in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, appliance repair, maintenance, grounds maintenance, roofing, flooring, and other related areas.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with a wide range of people.
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy objects, as well as stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
