POSITION SUMMARY

As a Host, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the restaurant, which includes greeting guests, managing phone inquiries, and processing takeout orders. You will adhere to the service standards set by the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel, fostering a collaborative environment that ensures high-quality service for all patrons.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet all guests warmly and introduce them to the menu and daily specials.
  • Prepare the restaurant for service by following daily setup and breakdown procedures.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of menu items and their ingredients, including special promotions.
  • Stay informed about local events to provide recommendations to guests.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, including maintaining temperature logs and managing inventory.
  • Strive to exceed guest expectations and seek opportunities to enhance service quality.
  • Demonstrate understanding of job responsibilities and execute tasks efficiently.
  • Complete cleaning duties and side work, taking pride in maintaining a clean environment.
  • Report to work punctually and adhere to attendance policies.
  • Engage in departmental meetings and communicate effectively with team members and management.
  • Exhibit a positive and courteous demeanor while collaborating with colleagues.
  • Maintain a professional appearance by adhering to the dress code.
  • Address guest concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Utilize time efficiently to meet departmental standards throughout your shift.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce waste and enhance revenue through suggestive selling.
  • Keep work areas tidy and participate in recycling initiatives.
  • Follow safety protocols established by AHC Hospitality.
  • Complete required training and ensure compliance with age verification for alcohol service.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage phone calls and take orders for takeout.
  • Provide attentive service to guests in accordance with AHC standards.
  • Monitor and minimize food waste.
  • Maintain cleanliness and conduct thorough cleaning as needed.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and share insights with management.
  • Adhere to environmental policies and health regulations.
  • Actively work in designated service areas, including counter service and table service.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Prior experience in a restaurant setting is preferred.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

A high school diploma or GED is required, along with relevant experience or training.
