Job Summary

Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our finance team. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Management: Perform day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Month-End and Year-End Close Processes: Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, providing valuable insights to inform business decisions.
  • Financial Data Audits and Reconciliations: Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of financial data, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
  • Financial Transaction Processing: Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, maintaining the highest level of financial control.
  • Financial Record Maintenance: Maintain and update financial records and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Accounting Controls and Procedures: Assist with the implementation and maintenance of accounting controls and procedures, ensuring the highest level of financial governance.
  • Audit Support: Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits and reviews, providing valuable insights and expertise.
  • Intacct Software Utilization: Utilize Intacct software for accounting processes and reporting, leveraging its capabilities to drive financial efficiency.
  • Special Projects and Ad Hoc Analysis: Provide support for special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional Certifications: CPA or working towards CPA certification preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of accounting experience, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Intacct Expertise: Proficiency in Intacct accounting software, with the ability to leverage its capabilities to drive financial efficiency.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy, ensuring the highest level of financial control.
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, with the ability to leverage its capabilities to drive financial efficiency.
