Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team at Bob Evans Foods. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including repairs, installations, and replacements of fixtures, electrical outlets, and plumbing systems.
  • Conduct daily inspections of facility equipment and perform necessary maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance.
  • Complete building repairs, including siding, drywall, painting, and other tasks as needed.
  • Maintain plant machines by performing troubleshooting and general maintenance tasks.
  • Use prints, specifications, and verbal instructions to make repairs to ordinary plumbing and electrical systems.
  • Install and thread pipe, perform soldering and cutting, and perform light mig/tig welding and fabrication work.
  • Assist in the installation of equipment and receive, unpack, and put away MRO material into inventory.
  • Locate and issue required materials to maintenance and other client personnel, and relocate material within storeroom for more efficient use of space.
  • Deliver materials to various departments and use computers to organize and locate parts and maintain accurate part information.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties around the facility, including adhering to safe work practices, following GMP's, maintaining sanitary conditions, and ensuring product quality.
  • Utilize heavy equipment, such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts, to complete tasks.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • Minimum of two or more years of industrial food manufacturing equipment experience required.
  • Forklift, Skytrack, and other similar heavy-duty equipment experience required.
Work Environment

This position will be exposed to work in high, precarious places, and outdoor weather conditions. The typical noise level is loud, and the position has the potential for exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
