Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Healthcare Performance Improvement Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the revenue cycle, including patient registration, scheduling, payments, and reimbursements, claims processing, collections, and reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand complex operating issues and structure solutions to protect, create, and recover value for clients.
  • Contribute and provide guidance on complex analyses and operational alternatives pertinent to the situation at hand.
  • Assist in effectively developing and managing project work plans or workstreams for engagements.
  • Determine effective approaches/content levels based on prior experiences in similar situations.
  • Lead presentations and large meetings with senior clients, other professionals, and parties of interest.
  • Manage the development and presentation of final client deliverables.
  • Contribute to and lead the final delivery of analyses developed on engagements.
  • Assist in day-to-day relationships between Ankura teams and senior client executives.
  • Ensure the quality of engagements and assist in the development of staff.
  • As a key member of the Healthcare team, lead and support industry marketing efforts and practice development.
  • Participate and contribute to developing marketing, business development, and intellectual capital to support market awareness, lead generation, and improved project delivery.
  • Define and develop healthcare-specific tools and methodologies to drive business development and project delivery.

Requirements:

  • Bring meaningful experience in healthcare and related industries.
  • Minimum 8+ years of relevant Healthcare consulting experience across Revenue Cycle Management, including front, mid, and back-end performance improvement from a top-tier management consulting firm.
  • An understanding of point-of-service collections across healthcare sectors, including experience with physician practice management and reimbursement strategies.
  • Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) experience includes a deep understanding of the entire revenue cycle, including patient registration, scheduling, payments, and reimbursements, claims processing, collections, and reporting.
  • Solid experience in financial management, including budgeting, financial analysis, revenue forecasting, in assessing financial impacts of RCM strategies.
  • Analyzing performance metrics and translating data into actionable insights, including AR complexities and trends that impact revenue.
  • A deep understanding of financial metrics in assessing productivity improvements and labor strategies.
  • Outsourcing RCM Services, Contract management, Healthcare sub-sector expertise, including Healthcare providers and physician services, such as eye care, dental, etc.
  • Managed Care Organization, Insurance Companies, etc., Skilled Nursing Facility, Home health, etc., Mergers and Acquisition Support, including Interim Management.
  • Analyzing complex data and identifying areas for improvement within RCM.
  • A deep understanding of RCM technologies, including electronic health records (EHR) and practice management systems.
  • Effectively planning for and proactively mitigating risks on projects and workstreams.
  • Defining, influencing, and driving change at executive levels and across the broader community of stakeholders.
  • Negotiation skills with complex/sophisticated situations involving senior-level stakeholders.
  • Quickly recognizing critical areas requiring analysis and review while understanding the big picture.
  • Effective written communication skills, self-directed with preparation of client-ready documents and presentation development.
  • Articulate, persuasive, communicator who is adept at handling executive and difficult audiences well, including the ability to adapt style to audience.
  • An undergraduate degree from a top academic institution; High energy style, flexible, and adaptive, with the ability to work well in a very fast-paced environment.
  • Ability and willingness to undertake travel (up to 75%) is required.
