Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Wound Ostomy Nurse to join our team at Covenant Medical Center. As a Wound Ostomy Nurse, you will serve as a clinical resource and consultant for patients with selected disorders of the gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and integumentary systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide inpatient clinical services throughout the hospital, including the Emergency Department and Wound/Ostomy Care Clinic.
  • Carry out professional responsibilities through direct patient care, clinical consultation, education, research, and administration.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans for patients with complex wounds and ostomies.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and guidelines for wound and ostomy care.
Requirements
  • Texas Registered Nurse License upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • 2 years Acute care experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school.
  • Certification from Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing Certification Board (WOCNCB) upon hire.
