Job Summary

Buzzi Unicem USA, Inc. is seeking a skilled Terminal Operator to join our team. As a Terminal Operator, you will be responsible for loading bulk trucks in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring each load meets customer specifications within legal limits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading bulk trucks from designated silos, as instructed by the Terminal Manager
  • Ensuring each load is completed to customer specifications within legal limits
  • Unloading barges, including mooring and hooking up unloading hoses
  • Continuously monitoring the unloading process, safely operating manual unloading gates, air valves, and blowers
  • Adhering to company safety policies and performing work in a safe manner
  • Cleaning all areas of the terminal and grounds, and obtaining daily/weekly samples
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Able to work different extended hours, holidays, and/or overtime as required
  • Solid Industrial Mechanical skills, performing routine maintenance
  • Speak, read, write, and understand English
  • Ability to work independently, without constant supervision
  • Able to work inside and outside in year-round weather conditions
  • In good physical condition, able to bend, use a broom, and shovel, lift and carry up to 100 lbs
  • Ability to work at heights up to 150 feet
  • Ability to operate forklifts and tractors for cutting grass
