Administrative Support Specialist

Hoke County Schools is seeking a highly skilled and organized Administrative Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the principal and other staff members, ensuring the smooth operation of the school.
Key ResponsibilitiesAdministrative Support
- Assist the principal and other staff members with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and maintaining records.
- Manage the office supply inventory and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Provide excellent customer service to students, parents, and staff members.
Communication and Correspondence
- Prepare and disseminate correspondence, reports, and other documents as instructed.
- Respond to phone calls, emails, and other inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
Event Planning and Scheduling
- Assist with planning and coordinating school events, such as parent-teacher conferences and staff meetings.
- Schedule appointments and make travel arrangements as needed.
Office Operations
- Manage the office cash box and reconcile financial transactions.
- Perform other clerical tasks as assigned, such as data entry and record-keeping.
Requirements
- Associate's degree preferred.
- Bilingual preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
Work Environment
The Administrative Assistant will work in a school setting, providing administrative support to the principal and other staff members. The work environment is fast-paced and requires excellent communication and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements
The Administrative Assistant will be required to sit for extended periods, use a computer, and perform other tasks that require minimal physical exertion.
