Position Summary: The Revenue and Accounts Receivable Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payments related to receivables and revenue. This position involves managing outstanding accounts, generating insightful reports, and maintaining stringent accounting controls.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage and process all payments within our financial management system.
  2. Generate invoices and pledges, ensuring correct allocation to the appropriate general ledger accounts.
  3. Ensure timely collection of outstanding receivables.
  4. Create and present dashboard reports for internal teams and executive management.
  5. Extract and analyze data to produce reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
  6. Investigate and resolve discrepancies in accounts receivable and revenue accounting.
  7. Assist in the monthly reconciliation of financial data with accounting software.
  8. Support compliance requirements and reporting as needed.
  9. Contribute to the annual budgeting process as required.
  10. Prepare documentation for annual audits and assist auditors as necessary.
  11. Engage in special projects and tasks as directed by the Accounts Receivable and Revenue Manager and CFO.

Qualifications:
Results-driven with a strong sense of accountability for performance and timelines.
Excellent cognitive skills, including written and verbal communication, logical reasoning, and teamwork.
Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines with precision.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to facilitate group consensus.
Proficient in making informed and timely decisions based on available data aligned with organizational goals.

Education and Experience:
1. Some college education (degree preferred) with 1-2 years of experience in a billing or financial role.
2. Familiarity with financial management software and applications.
3. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
4. Experience with donor databases or CRM systems and accounting software is advantageous.
