Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Accountant, you will work closely with our clients, management, and other stakeholders to provide accounting, auditing, and tax services. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Performing planning and fieldwork procedures in accounting and auditing engagements
  • Preparing financial statements and tax returns for corporate, individual, partnership, fiduciary, trusts, estates, and non-profits
  • Performing basic accounting functions, including bookkeeping and reconciliations
  • Researching accounting and tax standards and applicable legislation
  • Building communication skills with internal teams and management
  • Starting to build relationships with clients and serving as a primary contact
  • Overseeing staff accountants and interns on assigned engagements

Key Responsibilities

In addition to the above responsibilities, you will also participate in firm-directed continuing professional education (CPE) and on-the-job training, engage in networking and business development, and contribute to in-house projects and committees.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A B.S. in Accounting or a closely related degree
  • A basic knowledge of accounting concepts
  • At least one year of relevant professional work experience
  • Strong computer, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Organizational and detail-oriented skills
  • A desire to learn and grow with the firm
  • Integrity and the ability to handle confidential information
  • Excellent client communication skills

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $85,000 annually, a dynamic and supportive work environment, and opportunities for professional growth and development.

Location

This position is based in Albany, NY, and requires a standard day shift in an office environment. Travel or alternate work schedules may be required based on client needs.
