Position Overview:
Roofing Cost Estimator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified candidate to manage various projects comprehensively: from design and cost estimation to client selections and project execution.

This role is distinct from conventional sales or project management positions. We specialize in premium, custom roofing systems, often featuring intricate designs with valleys, flat areas, and multi-level components.

The selected candidate will analyze aerial roof reports to formulate detailed estimates encompassing the labor and materials required for project completion.

This may also involve reviewing builder plans and verifying elevations, among other tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough estimates for residential roofing projects (including shingle, tile, and metal)

- Review requirement documents, blueprints, and project plans to gain a comprehensive understanding of each project

- Identify production factors that may impact costs

- Keep abreast of current market prices for materials within the estimating system

- Create job cost reports

- Build and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors

- Facilitate hand-off meetings with assigned project managers

- Present prepared estimates to management

Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Construction or a related field is preferred

- Familiarity with The Edge estimating software is advantageous

- Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail

- Excellent organizational abilities and capacity to prioritize tasks

- Experience in analyzing requirement data to generate material and cost estimates for residential projects

- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical documents

- Outstanding written communication and interpersonal skills
