Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Development Associate to join our team at Hospice of the Western Reserve. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of fundraising activities to help maximize financial support and realize the mission and vision of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support for all development team operations, including data entry, donor inquiries, and logistics for events.
  • Event Management: Manage logistics for our signature event, the Walk to Remember, and assist with other agency events, including RSVP lists, name tags, and event materials.
  • Community Fundraising: Create a plan to grow community fundraising activities and develop relationships with donors and stakeholders.
  • Administrative Duties: Perform other administrative duties as requested, including procurement, inventory management, and office supplies.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university and non-profit work experience in fundraising and an administrative staff position preferred.
  • Skills: Knowledge of platforms such as email marketing, One Cause, Microsoft Customer Insights, or other relevant software; ability to manage time, plan, organize, and administer programs and/or projects; ability to research, compile, and analyze data; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
  • Technology: Proficiency in Microsoft suite of products, especially mail merge, pivot tables, Word, and Outlook.
