Warehouse Order Picker Role at Fisher Auto Parts
As a Warehouse Order Picker with Fisher Auto Parts, you will be instrumental in ensuring that all Specials and Will Calls are picked with precision and efficiency. Below are the primary responsibilities:
- Utilizes an RF scanner to accurately pick specials and will call orders across various zones
- Keeps aisle ways tidy by removing debris from the workspace
- Prepares orders meticulously with a strong focus on detail
- Maintains knowledge of product line locations and prioritizes outgoing orders effectively
To succeed in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Capability to use carts or stock chasers for order picking; complete necessary pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintenance documentation
- Ability to perform tasks with accuracy
- Detail-oriented mindset
- Self-driven with a strong customer service orientation
- Organizational skills to stay focused and on task
- Proficiency in using scanners during the picking process
- Ability to meet and uphold accuracy and production targets
- Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Aptitude for working well within a diverse workforce, both independently and collaboratively
- Adherence to federal, state, local, OSHA, and company regulations and policies
- Willingness to perform additional duties or assist in other departments as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening
- Compliance with company policy regarding appropriate footwear and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Commitment to following all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Fisher Auto Parts Employee and Driver's Handbooks
If you are ready to take on this role, physical fitness is essential:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance
- Frequent requirements to walk, stand, sit, reach, lift, carry, bend, kneel, squat, and stoop
- Potential to climb, push/pull, balance, crouch, talk, and hear
- Specific vision capabilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Exposure to various working conditions such as wet/humid environments, moving mechanical parts, and outdoor weather
- Considerable mobility and the ability to stand or sit for extended periods
