The IT Network Infrastructure Specialist position is primarily responsible for the effective day-to-day operation of facility computing resources encompassing IT infrastructure including, but not limited to, networking equipment, cabling, servers, applications, and other associated infrastructure to support these technologies. This is a cross-functional, network-focused regional role that not only supports the local site, but is also responsible for the application of regional initiatives and projects at the local level, as well as some regional support responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and support network infrastructure including access, distribution, LAN, WAN, WLAN, Voice/Voice Applications, Internet switching, cabling, and associated infrastructure for both local and regional sites.
• Collaborate with local and regional teams to support the implementation of local and regional sites' network initiatives and projects.
• Design and implement network solutions for dynamic environments that are both scalable and resilient.
• Create and maintain network diagrams/documentation within area of responsibility.
• Work with vendor support as necessary to quickly resolve problems.
• Support core business applications in areas of responsibility.
• Participate in a variety of audit tasks and duties for physical inventory as required.
• Assist in supporting computer room infrastructure (power, backup power, air conditioning, humidity control).
• Assist in supporting manufacturing plant floor applications for data collection, traceability, and ensure support availability when needed for critical plant-related events or downtime requires.
• Assist in supporting business communication systems including phone and video conferencing systems.
• Demonstrate flexibility to support local and regional initiatives as needed to meet business objectives.
• Secondarily assist in overall server monitoring/management, desktop/laptop computers, multifunction and single-function printers, special-purpose appliances, and various peripheral devices in a Microsoft Active Directory environment as needed.

Qualifications:
• Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP networking.
• Proficient with networking hardware including layer 2/3 switches, routers, firewalls, hubs, print servers, wireless controllers, and access points.
• In-depth understanding of networking services (DNS, DHCP, LDAP).
• Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs as required to perform repairs on IT-related equipment.
• Ability to physically inspect equipment in cramped or tight locations.
• Required to carry a company cell phone and be on call during off-schedule work times.
• Experience within the automotive or manufacturing sector would be an asset.
• Experience collaborating with remote teams and team members is desired.
• Some understanding of Microsoft Operating Systems (both GUI and CLI) including Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows 11, and Windows Server 2012 R2, Server 2016, Server 2019, Server 2022.
• Some knowledge of Active Directory management desired.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 software suite.
• Industry-recognized certifications, Security+, Network+, ITIL desired.
• CCNA Certification required (certification must be currently valid).
• CCNP Enterprise Certification desired/preferred.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, meet tight deadlines, and work well under pressure.
• Detail-oriented and able to handle confidential information of the highest level.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Strong time management, planning, decision-making, and organizational skills.
• Able to work autonomously and as a member of a team.
• Able to act as a team lead for other administrators of the team.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instruction related to company policies/procedures (work tasks, Associate handbook, safety, quality, and environmental).
• Continuous improvement-focused is an asset.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with a college or university degree in IT preferred

Working Conditions:
• Physical Demands: Required to sit or stand for long periods of time. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Ability to work overtime hours as required and shifts outside your structured shift assignment. Provide on-call coverage during off-shifts and weekends if required.
