Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Program Manager RN to join our team at MultiCare Health System. This is a key leadership role that will be responsible for developing and implementing the Quality and Performance Improvement Program for assigned services and locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the Quality and Performance Improvement Program for assigned services and locations
  • Partner with stakeholders to develop, implement, and organize the annual and multi-year plan to assure quality, patient safety, regulatory readiness, and meeting specific standards for the setting(s) of care
  • Provide expertise regarding clinical knowledge and top national and regional performance to the planning, performance assessment, and best practices in the clinical domain
  • Direct activities relating to the Quality Program, ensuring initiatives, projects, and activities are completed within established timeframes, and perform ongoing performance analysis to identify clinical outcome and other improvement opportunities
  • Develop components of the QAPI and other regulatory requirements
  • Conduct analysis for area, including common techniques such as apparent and common cause and RCA analysis as well as descriptive statistics and value stream mapping
  • Develop data and information into quality analyses such as Pareto and driver diagrams, visual displays, graphs to display complex information in usable formats
  • Develop routine reporting to assess effectiveness of PI projects and interventions, achievement of outcomes, as well as ad hoc reporting using QM tools like tracers, dashboards
  • Use tools such as the Epic chart and chart review to assess the quality and safety of care and to design improvement solutions
  • Oversee PI, analysis, and reporting for projects and activities in assigned area, and develop recommendations, based on research and findings, for appropriate actions by departments/organizational committees
Requirements
  • Current Registered Nurse license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS)
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or obtained within five (5) years from the initial date of hire; RN with 15+ years of service may be considered in lieu of education agreement
  • Advanced Degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP) preferred
  • Relevant certification in the specialty area preferred
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in a professional or technical role/function in a healthcare or related setting as applicable to a clinical specialty/service line
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in a quality, regulatory readiness, performance improvement, or patient safety role

As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $107, $179,067.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
