Job Title: QA Analyst

Raye IT Consulting, LLC is a leading provider of IT consulting and technology services to the Federal Government and large agencies.

We specialize in delivering mission-critical programs and support through our expertise in program and project management, capital planning, and IT investment portfolio management.

Our team is seeking a highly skilled QA Analyst to join our Washington, D.C. area team.

The successful candidate will collaborate with our technical staff to create effective and reliable software updates and hotfixes to support our customers' user base.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and design application and software testing processes.
  • Monitor system and software functionality.
  • Ensure offerings are entirely functional and provide quality assurance for software products.
  • Work closely with developers to ensure code quality to industry standards and delivery of required application features per client requirements.
  • Automated testing and problem-solving of various tasks that work towards a development process.
  • Establish and implement rigorous reporting and automated monitoring systems.
  • Advise best practices and optimizations throughout testing and bug-fixing processes.
  • Collaborate with fellow software developers to create test plans and new approaches for seeking out bugs and exploits in end-user-facing applications.

Qualifications:

  • QA Certification such as Six Sigma, CSTE, CSQA.
  • 5-7 years of software testing experience.
  • Experience in using DevOps tools and Azure DevOps.
  • Experience in quality assurance and security in the Application Development Life Cycle.
  • Experience in automating QA testing to make testing faster and deploying applications faster.
  • Knowledge of .NET Core, specifically C# and using JustMock to write unit tests and scripts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills working with software development teams.
  • Analytical approach to troubleshooting.
  • Time management skills and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with company-recommended QA rubrics and software development frameworks.
