Position Overview:

The School of Nursing at the College of Public Health is in search of qualified clinical Adjunct Faculty to instruct in various clinical settings, including medical/surgical, pediatric, obstetric, community, and psychiatric areas. Opportunities are also available for teaching in undergraduate laboratory courses.

Required Qualifications:

Candidates must possess a current, unencumbered Registered Nursing license in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Faculty teaching in clinical areas are required to hold a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree or a non-nursing Master's degree accompanied by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.

Graduate Faculty Requirements:

The School of Nursing is also seeking Nurse Practitioner Adjunct Faculty to deliver graduate-level courses, which include Community Oriented Primary Care, Decision Making and Pharmacologic Management in Practice, Health Assessment in Clinical Practice, Pharmacotherapeutics, and Physiology and Pathophysiology in Advanced Practice. Additionally, there are needs for faculty to supervise Practicum courses in family practice, pediatrics, women's health, and adult gerontology.

Graduate Faculty Qualifications:

Applicants must hold a current, unencumbered Registered Nursing license in the Commonwealth of Virginia and a minimum of a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree with an active Family or Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner License.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Doctor of Nursing Practice or PhD degree is preferred.
