About the Position:

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Harp Professor to join the faculty at the Dewberry School of Music. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to teach individualized lessons and coordinate recruitment and performances for the Harp Studio.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Applied Harp to students of varying skill levels and backgrounds.
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students and the program.
  • Coordinate with colleagues to plan and execute performances and events.
  • Recruit and mentor students to participate in the Harp Studio.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Music or a related field.
  • Established reputation as a harpist, including live performance and recordings.
  • Ability to work with colleagues and students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Success in teaching applied harp.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctorate in Music or a related field.
  • Successful experience teaching applied harp at the university level.
