Position Overview:
The College of Public Health is seeking qualified clinical Adjunct Faculty members for the School of Nursing. These positions involve teaching in various clinical settings, including medical/surgical, pediatric, obstetric, community, and psychiatric areas. Opportunities are also available for teaching in undergraduate laboratory courses.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a current, unencumbered Registered Nursing license in Virginia. Faculty teaching in clinical areas are required to hold a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree or a non-nursing Master's degree accompanied by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
Graduate Faculty Position:
We are also looking for Nurse Practitioner Adjunct Faculty to instruct graduate-level courses. This includes subjects such as Community Oriented Primary Care, Decision Making and Pharmacologic Management in Practice, Health Assessment in Clinical Practice, Pharmacotherapeutics, and Physiology and Pathophysiology in Advanced Practice. Additionally, there are needs for faculty to supervise Practicum courses in family practice, pediatrics, women's health, and adult gerontology.
Required Qualifications for Graduate Faculty:
Candidates must hold a current, unencumbered Registered Nursing license in Virginia and possess a minimum of a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree along with a current Family or Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner License.
Preferred Qualifications:
A Doctor of Nursing Practice or PhD degree is preferred.
