About the Role: As a Mental Health Technician at MultiCare Health System, you will play a vital part in creating a safe and supportive environment for patients with psychiatric needs. This role requires collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to provide basic patient care and recovery support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing exceptional patient customer service and assisting clinic management
  • Collaborating with physicians, clinical staff, front office staff, and clinic management to ensure comprehensive healthcare outcomes
  • Performing specialized functions within the clinic setting, requiring knowledge of standards, resources, and data
  • Advocating for ethical and holistic care, promoting patient autonomy, dignity, and health from diverse backgrounds
  • Maintaining a safe and hazard-free environment by observing and documenting patient behavior, conducting patient room searches, reporting unsafe conditions, and applying emotional and physical support
  • Providing interventions matched to individual patient needs

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or any other human services field (preferred)
  • Eligibility for Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor within 30 days and obtaining within 90 days of placement (unless a higher credential is held)
  • Nursing Assistant Registered or CNA prior to start date
  • Current BLS certification
  • Peer MHT: Self-identifying as a consumer who has received mental health services and demonstrating well-grounded mental health recovery for at least one year
  • One year of direct patient care experience (preferred)
  • First Aid training required for Navos Hospital assignment

Compensation and Benefits: Competitive salary range: $22.92 - $33.67 USD per hour, influenced by factors like skill set, experience, certifications, and education. Benefits include medical, dental, retirement plans, and paid time off. Associated benefit information available upon request.
