Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise personnel in the welding and assembly departments.
  • Develop and manage work schedules effectively.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor team members.
  • Maintain an up-to-date training and skills matrix.
  • Address and resolve production challenges within the assigned work group or shift.
  • Ensure compliance with Clean Room standards by maintaining a tidy and safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with materials, engineering, quality assurance, and other departments to meet delivery timelines and uphold quality standards.
  • Manage team performance, resolve conflicts, and oversee training to achieve delivery and quality goals.
  • Complete assigned manufacturing projects as required.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong leadership and organizational capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with various departments to address delivery and quality concerns.
  • Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems; experience with Visual is preferred.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the semiconductor capital equipment sector or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Experience in quick-turn, engineer-to-order environments is a plus.
  • Prior involvement in cycle time, yield, or cost improvement initiatives is beneficial.

Management Experience:

  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience in high-tech manufacturing is required.
Working Conditions

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as climbing, stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Capacity to stand for extended periods and engage in repetitive movements.

Environmental Exposure:

  • Work is conducted in a manufacturing setting with varying temperatures and potential exposure to electrical currents, moving parts, and chemicals.
  • Personal protective equipment may be required.

Travel Requirements:

  • Occasional travel may be necessary for training and meetings.
