We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Safety Manager to join our team at Gilbane Building Company. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, subcontractors, and clients on construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive safety plans and procedures to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide training and guidance to project teams on safety protocols and procedures.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses, and develop strategies to prevent future occurrences.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure safety is integrated into all aspects of project planning and execution.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure safety is a top priority.
Requirements
  • BCSP certification
  • 5+ years of relevant construction safety experience
  • Certified as an OSHA 500 Trainer
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction safety and health principles, techniques, methods, regulations, and interpretations
  • Practical knowledge of OSHA laws, regulations, and policies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
