Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Program Coordinator to lead the Lighthouse program at EnCompass Resources for Learning Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the program, ensuring its implementation aligns with the company's mission, vision, and values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Management
    • Ensure the Lighthouse program is implemented as designed, with a focus on academic success, social and emotional awareness, and independent living skills.
    • Support day-to-day operations by observing, participating in, and debriefing program events and activities on a regular basis.
    • Foster a safe and structured environment for clients and staff, with clear expectations and routines.
    • Facilitate intake, program, and team meetings to address questions and concerns.
    • Develop a monthly program calendar, inclusive of student enrichments, special events, workshops, and staff meetings.
    • Monitor program budgets to ensure effective utilization of funding.
    • Support staff in understanding and addressing youth behaviors, as well as individual barriers and triggers.
    • Provide guidance on crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
    • Represent the Lighthouse program with external stakeholders and at community meetings.
  • Strategic Leadership
    • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with Monroe County DHS, ensuring alignment and shared vision.
    • Evaluate and reflect on program implementation and outcomes, with a focus on continuous improvement and recommending adjustments to deepen impact.
    • Collaborate with other agencies and community resources to coordinate services, arrange referrals, and curate a network of providers.
    • Work with senior leadership to review and update the program logic model, aligning with organizational goals and sector best practices.
    • Identify opportunities for internal collaboration and service layering.
    • Monitor progress toward articulated outcomes, adjusting as necessary.
    • Collaborate with the communications and development team to leverage grant opportunities and track relevant outcomes.
  • Staff Supervision
    • Identify staffing needs and support recruitment and hiring, as needed.
    • Provide weekly supervision to staff, focusing on continuous improvement and teamwork.
    • Assign students to caseworkers and academic navigators based on unique student profiles and caseload size.
    • Monitor and evaluate staff performance, with a focus on continuous improvement.
    • Offer professional coaching to staff, tailored to their roles.
    • Identify external professional development opportunities to meet staff needs.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree or 7 years of experience in social work, counseling, psychology, or a relevant field.
    • 3 years of experience working with systems-involved youth or teens in the Rochester area or a similar city.
    • Valid NYS driver's license.
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a relevant field.
    • Experience managing programs and developing/supervising staff.
    • Training in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI).
Benefits

    • $53,248 - $75,254/year, based on experience.
  • Schedule
    • Monday through Friday, 9:30am - 5:30pm.
