Job Summary:
The Front Desk Agent will be responsible for greeting and registering guests, providing prompt and courteous service, and closing out guest accounts upon completion of stay. Key responsibilities include:

  • Greeting customers immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome, using a positive and clear speaking voice, and responding to requests with appropriate action and accurate information.
  • Completing the registration process by inputting and retrieving information from a computer system, confirming pertinent information, and promoting hotel marketing programs.
  • Verifying and imprinting credit cards for authorization, handling cash, making change, and balancing an assigned house bank.
  • Promptly answering the telephone using positive communication, inputting messages into the computer, and retrieving messages to communicate to guests.
  • Closing guest accounts at time of check out and ascertaining satisfaction, negotiating compromise in the event of dissatisfaction.
  • Remain calm and alert, especially during emergency and/or heavy hotel activity, and resolve complications such as location changes or credit issues.
  • Fielding guest complaints, conducting thorough research to develop effective solutions, and negotiating results.

Qualifications:
Previous hotel experience is required. Knowledge of Opera is a plus, and bilingual candidates are also preferred.
