Position Overview:


The primary responsibility of the Customer Service Associate is to assist clients and sales personnel in placing fuel and oil orders, collaborating with dispatch and the credit department as needed to facilitate delivery.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Processing orders, responding to customer inquiries regarding product details, account status, and order updates.
  • Researching delivery delays and managing back-orders due to inventory shortages.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to calls, emails, and faxes from customers and/or sales staff placing orders.
  • Coordinate with operations to ensure timely deliveries that meet customer expectations.
  • Provide basic information to customers regarding products, including packaging sizes, availability, and pricing.
  • Input orders into the billing system and dispatch module.
  • Assist customers and sales representatives with information requests, including sales orders, invoices, product data sheets, and safety data sheets.
  • Support sales representatives in managing high-profile or high-volume accounts.
  • Offer guidance to sales personnel on basic DM2 navigation.
  • Train new customer service associates.
  • Investigate sales order delivery delays.
  • Manage back-orders resulting from inventory shortages.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in customer service.
  • Proficient in relevant computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Skybitz, and DM2.
  • Ability to type at least 40 words per minute.
