Job Title: Substance Use Counselor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Substance Use Counselor to join our team at the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities. As a key member of our Mental Health & Addiction Services team, you will provide counseling and rehabilitation services to individuals struggling with substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to clients with substance use disorders
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to address client needs and goals
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify client needs and develop treatment plans
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in counseling or related field
  • Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
